Fund Development
Co-Chairs: Cindy Perlis and Laura Kinter
Committee description & initiatives:
The Fund Development Committee supports NOAH’s mission by cultivating relationships, developing and executing strategy to secure NOAHCON sponsorships, and creating a planned giving program to establish sustainable long-term funding for NOAH.
Conference
Co-Chairs: Lisa Simms Booth and Moira McGuire
Committee description & initiatives:
The Conference Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of the annual conference which is NOAH’s signature event (in person and the virtual day) each year. The Committee handles a range of activities related to the conference including (but not limited to) – conference site selection, identifying host sponsors, identifying keynotes, developing the guidelines for and launching the call for proposals, reviewing and selecting sessions, recruiting sponsors, coordinating logistics and overseeing all onsite activities.
Governance
Co-chairs: Purvi Shah and Christina D. Eskridge
Committee description & initiatives:
The Governance Committee is responsible for managing the board activities in adherence with the bylaws, recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding of board members as terms dictate, creating standardized processes to support NOAH and board operations.
Finance
Chair: Elysian McNiff Koglmeier
Committee description & initiatives:
The Finance Committee serves as a steward of NOAH’s financial health, supporting NOAH’s long-term sustainability by promoting sound fiscal management, transparency and fiscal responsibility. It provides strategic oversight of the organization’s budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management to ensure resources are aligned with NOAH’s mission and goals.
Membership
Chair: Antonia Dapena-Tretter
Committee description & initiatives:
The Membership Committee supports membership growth, engagement, and satisfaction. The committee works to increase membership diversity (race, age, gender, and professional diversity) and uses member feedback to ensure that NOAH’s goals and activities remain member-driven. The Research sub-committee lives under Membership and is currently tasked with online programming and resource gathering, both of which are seen as tangible offerings.
Research Sub-Committee of Membership
Committee description & initiatives:
The Research Sub-Committee supports advancement of research and its use in the field of arts in health. It seeks to position NOAH as a leading resource for arts in health research and evaluation and aims to create tools and toolkits that increase understanding and accessibility of research, and promote innovative, advanced, and collaborative research in the field.
Artist Workforce Development
Co-Chairs: Sarah Hoover and Elke Downer
Committee description & initiatives:
The Artist Workforce Development (AWD) Committee oversees NOAH’s strategy and development of resources to 1.) support members’ professional development and 2.) advance best practices and the development of the field of Arts in Health and the professionals who work within it. The committee also supports the maintenance and review of NOAH materials and publications that pertain to professionalization.
Executive
Committee description & initiatives:
The Executive Committee is responsible for supporting NOAH’s mission through strategic oversight and prioritization of NOAH activities, managing board dynamics and culture, making decisions in emergencies, providing interim governance and policy review, preparing for full board discussions and monitoring the implementation of the current strategic plan.
