Hello dear Arts in Health family,
I am just beginning my journey as the incoming President of our NOAH but I’m no stranger to the incredible community that NOAH is. I have been a member of this organization since 2018, went to my first NOAHCON in Austin that same year, and joined the board of directors in 2021. I have had the chance to serve NOAH through the Membership, Governance, Conference, and Strategic Planning committees.
Like many of you, the first time I set foot in a NOAH event I felt at home. Here are the creative, compassionate, multi-hyphenate thinkers and doers I have been looking for! And during the pandemic, I often say that NOAH saved my mental health. To meet regularly with others who were enduring constantly changing conditions helped me to feel less alone. We shared great ideas and our great disappointments as well.
I appreciate how honest the membership has been about what is really happening in their local area, how they are feeling about the work we do, and how important this community is for all of us. If you are feeling isolated in your work, please connect with us. Between the regional meetups, online networking, our Hive listserv, and our social media presence, we want to help get you plugged in to this amazing community.
